Samba Éditions
An independent publishing house, born from a signature.
A signature
Samba could write only one word: his first name. Five letters, traced all his life at the bottom of deeds, school reports, contracts and residence permits. Five letters that held good when the pages themselves stayed silent to him.
The house logo was not designed. It was copied. It is Samba's signature, just as he set it down on his papers, reproduced stroke for stroke and stamped in gold on every book.
His son, Allaj Sidibe, founded Samba Éditions in Paris so that this name would now sign books.
“Today those five letters sign my books.”
Four worlds
The house publishes few books, and up close. One novel, two series of essays, a science-fiction trilogy. What ties them together: books grounded in facts, dates, figures, contracts and names, written as stories.
The first title, The American Dream Is an Eternal Nightmare, came out in July 2026 in six languages at once: French, English, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese. The Sortie d'Usine and Legend series follow, then the Eden Verde trilogy.
A free house
No group, no shareholders. Samba Éditions chooses its books, its formats, its languages and its calendar. Every title gets its own ISBNs and its legal deposit at the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
The books are available from online bookshops, as ebooks, in paperback and, for some, in hardcover. They can also be ordered directly from the house.

Allaj Sidibe
Allaj Sidibe was born in Paris in 1975. He lives and writes in the Paris region.
Film and music shaped him before books did. One winter night in 1993, at the Élysée Montmartre, he heard for the first time a rapper who spoke differently, slower, quieter: Q-Tip. Thirty years later he devoted The Abstract to him, the first book in French about the artist.
His first novel, The American Dream Is an Eternal Nightmare, came out in July 2026 in six languages. Five Americans, a mission that left in November 1973, and no reason to trust one another: power, war, racism and the American dream, told like a film.
In the Legend series he wrote the portraits of Q-Tip, Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg, as well as the forewords to King Of and Mercury. He is completing the Eden Verde science-fiction trilogy.
He founded Samba Éditions to publish his books and those that share the same standard: go back to the sources, check the dates, and look at the man beneath the statue.
